It began simple enough.

I wanted a Samanco (a Korean ice cream treat shaped like a fish). After a quick search, I found a local K-grocery store that was ten minutes away.

What I didn’t know was that this grocery store was connected to Gwinett Place, a dying mall on it’s very last legs.

After taking a short walk inside, I felt an extreme sense of melancholy that I knew I had to try and capture.

I grew up going to a mall like this, and to see it decaying right in front of me was a stark reminder of the passage of time.
